Based in Anchorage, this site is owned and maintained by Think Tunk Productions. This site was created in 2001, after discovering the need for a comprehensive website that would cater to Alaska outdoor enthusiasts. We felt the need to provide guidance to the outdoor recreation vacation planner, as well as the Alaskan weekend warrior, It is a labor of love to share the many outdoor activities the great state of Alaska has to offer.
This site
has seen many changes in the past few years, and we aim to continually improve the visitor's experience as the years come and go. We have now opened up our doors for user-generated content, so we welcome all industry related articles, photos, and reviews (topics must relate to the content of SportingAlaska.com).
